Terms of Service
Last Updated: October 12, 2026 • Effective Version: v1.2
When your backend returns 500, HookSentinel returns 200 OK to the provider, preventing endpoint disablement while buffering payloads in DLQ.
All webhook payloads, customer metadata, and signature headers routed through our platform remain your exclusive property.
Cancel your subscription anytime with zero friction. No lock-ins, hidden commitments, or clawback penalties.
01. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the HookSentinel platform ("Platform", "Service"), including our web application, edge ingestion endpoints, and developer CLI tools, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, you must discontinue using our services immediately.
02. Service Description & Airbag Mechanism
HookSentinel provides a high-reliability webhook proxy and dead-letter queue (DLQ) for events originating from Stripe, Shopify, GitHub, Lemon Squeezy, and other external APIs. We relay incoming events with byte-exact cryptographic integrity to your destination endpoints and capture failed requests (HTTP 5xx, 504 timeouts, or connection refused) into an encrypted Dead-Letter Queue.
When your destination server fails or crashes, HookSentinel dispatches an HTTP 200 OK back to the upstream webhook provider (e.g. Stripe, Shopify) to prevent provider-side endpoint suspension. Payloads are safely vaulted in your DLQ, allowing you to debug and replay them with 1 click once your backend recovers.
03. Acceptable Use Policy (AUP)
You agree NOT to use the HookSentinel platform for any of the following prohibited activities:
- Conducting or amplifying Denial of Service (DoS/DDoS) attacks against third-party systems.
- Card-testing attacks, botnet checkout abuse, or processing fraudulent payment credentials.
- Transmitting trojans, ransomware, or command-and-control (C2) botnet traffic.
- Intentionally attempting to bypass platform rate limiting or circuit breaker heuristics.
Violations of this Acceptable Use Policy will result in immediate suspension of affected routes and accounts without prior notice.
04. Subscription Plans, Cancellations & Refund Policy
HookSentinel offers a free Developer tier along with paid Pro ($19/mo) and Scale ($49/mo) tiers:
- Payment Processing: Paid subscriptions are securely processed through our authorized Merchant of Record (Lemon Squeezy / Stripe).
- Renewals & Cancellations: Subscriptions renew automatically every month. You may cancel your subscription at any time prior to your next renewal date directly from your console. You retain full access to paid features until the current billing period concludes.
- 14-Day Money-Back Guarantee: If you are unsatisfied for any reason, requests made within the first 14 days of your initial purchase will receive a full, unconditional refund. For our full refund procedures, please see our dedicated Refund Policy.
05. Data Ownership & Intellectual Property
The HookSentinel brand, software, replay infrastructure, and user interface are the exclusive property of HookSentinel. However:
You retain full, exclusive ownership of all webhook payloads, customer metadata, secret keys, and payload headers routed through our infrastructure. HookSentinel processes this data strictly to provide ingestion, proxying, and dead-letter queue replay capabilities.
06. Limitation of Liability
HookSentinel maintains rigorous engineering standards. However, the service is provided strictly on an "AS-IS" and "AS-AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, HookSentinel and its operators shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from lost profits, data corruption, or upstream provider downtime.
07. Termination & Modifications
You may terminate your account and delete your stored payloads at any time from your console. In the event of material revisions to these terms, registered users will be notified with reasonable advance notice.
08. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Turkey. Any legal proceedings shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in Istanbul, Turkey.
